The Youngest CEO:Mark Elliot Zuckerberg

When Mark ElliotZuckerberg showed up in Palo Alto three years ago, he had no car, no house, and no job. Today, he's at the helm of a hot social-networking site, Facebook, and turning down billion-dollar offers. Born on 14 March 1984, Founder, Facebook.com "an amazing achievement — one of the most significant milestones in the technology industry in this decade".

In an inclusive interview he said the idea for the website was motivated by a social need at Harvard to be able to identify people in other residential houses—Harvard is a fairly unfriendly place. While each residential house listed directories of their residents, I wanted one online directory where all students could be listed. And I’ve always enjoyed building things and puttering around with computer code, so I sat down and in about a week I had produced the basic workings of the site.

Currently 200,000 people sign up to Facebook every day and it now has 42 million users, according to the site. Newspaper reports say it aims to have 60 million members by the end of the year.

His latest project is "Wirehog" which is a social application for transferring files between friends. You can connect to a friend’s computer and browse the files, like photos, videos and music that they have, and transfer the files to your own computer.

SEO and Google Rule Over The world

SEO Companies all over the world are popping up daily and people are more than eager to get their sites optimized for great performance in Search Engines. Search Engine Optimization has got a nice image in countries like UK, USA and in the whole of Europe.

In east asia, with common man realizing the importance of Internet, countries have taken a huge leap towards technological developments. People are purchasing computers and getting their Internet connections plugged in to experience the joys of being online.

Satisfying a search engine’s appetite for keywords and content challenges the SEO writer who wants to also write effectively for a human. Using keyword-heavy content to entice search engines is a great idea until an actual person gets to the web page and starts reading the repetitive mess.

Do you think the corporate theme song of Google (GOOG) is “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears? Or that co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin do their best “Pinky and the Brain” impersonations each morning in the Googleplex?

“Google Try to take over the world!”

Previously people would use reference books or established indexes to find material. But now everyone can find information to his/her desired topic within a few clicks on internet.

You can easily find people saying that "Google is God".

Google’s wonderful services (gmail, google calendar, google groups, google base, picasa 2, google docs, etc. are free of cost. Google makes all these excellent products that make our life easier at no cost to us!!!

They are trying to do too much, too fast. Google is very aggressive about trying to diversify its business. Google want to move into video and branded advertising and they are taking it seriously. Plus, they can afford to do it.

Introduction To robots.txt

A robot is a program that automatically traverses the Web's hypertext structure by retrieving a document, and recursively retrieving all documents that are referenced.
Robots can be used for a number of purposes:

* Indexing
* HTML validation
* Link validation
* "What's New" monitoring
* Mirroring

Search engine robots will check a special file in the root of each server called robots.txt, which is a plain text file. Robots.txt implements the Robots Exclusion Protocol, which allows the web site administrator to define what parts of the site are off-limits to specific robot user agent names. Web administrators can disallow access to temporary directories, private and cgi, for example, because they do not want pages in those areas indexed.

If you want to exclude the whole website then you can do this by robots.txt file
User-agent: *
Disallow:/

The asterisk (*) in the User-agent field is shorthand for "all robots". Because nothing is disallowed, everything is allowed.

Remove an image from Google Image Search

User-agent: Googlebot-Image
Disallow: /images/pigs.jpg
This will remove image named pigs.
To remove all the images on your site from our index, place the following robots.txt file in your server root:
User-agent: Googlebot-Image<
Disallow: /
some patterns may end in "$" to indicate the end of a name. To remove all files of a specific file type (for example, to include .jpg but not .gif images), you'd use the following robots.txt entry:
User-agent: Googlebot-Image
Disallow: /*.gif$

# disallow all files in these directories
User-agent: *
Disallow: /cgi-bin/
Disallow: /admin/
Disallow: /comments/
Disallow: /z/j/
Disallow: /z/c/
Disallow: /about/legal-notice/
Disallow: /about/copyright-policy/
Disallow: /about/terms-and-conditions/
Disallow: /about/feed/
Disallow: /about/trackback/
Disallow: /contact/
Disallow: /stats*
Disallow: /tag
Disallow: /category/uncategorized*

# disallow all files ending with these extensions
Disallow: /*.php$
Disallow: /*.js$
Disallow: /*.inc$
Disallow: /*.css$
Disallow: /*.txt$

# disallow all files in /wp- directorys
Disallow: /wp-*/

# disallow all files with? in url
Disallow: /*?

Introduction

I have spent almost 23 years on this planet so far and so far my life has been
quite eventful. I have miles to go before I sleep.

In this blog, I will share my thoughts, experiences and lessons learned about leveraging the Information Technology and search engine marketing industry. Oh yeah, I'll also keep you updated on how my career building process is going!!

My involvement with IT industry began in 2004, as part of my degree, I undertook a sixth-month industrial placement at HCL Infosystem Ltd. I took the opportunity to work on some project. The result was a success. It was a valuable opportunity to meet senior figures from a variety of various departments

Undertaking projects as part of my degree has proved a vital way of building team skills. I tend to take charge of situations through a reasoned approach to the problem at hand, fostering mutual respect to unite members of my team and come to an acceptable compromise.

For the past one year I have been involved in successful medium-sized projects in industry, approaching engineering with business and marketing needs in mind. I am working in Vangelz Technologies in online marketing field. Around the world online advertising continues to grow with more and more of the marketing spend moving online. The online advertisement market has also increased in India. This is because of the increase in internet users in this country.
My team ascertains the true potential of the project using our probability to success ratio. By doing this we can put our heart and soul into each web site, thus producing results that exceed expectations. Our passionate team has an exceptional knowledge and skill resource base spanning across a broad range of web marketing and technology competencies, such as:online branding, web marketing,online advertising, lead generation, web sales,search engine marketing and search engine optimisation, ecommerce.

As working in IT Services I have the opportunity to meet with a tremendous number of IT folks around the world who are engaged in service improvement efforts in some form or fashion.

I believe my skills and experiences, together with hard work and determination to succeed, will be of great help and allow me to play a leading role in my field in the future.
